Phase 7: Placement of the rows of bottles to construct the ceiling of the greenhouse.

After being presenting and placing the first rows of bottles of the coverage of the greenhouse, which already we explain in the previous paragraph how they were interlacing, they are adjusting and tightening with the interior rope in order that they acquire the suitable structure and some fit perfectly with others.

Later, with the rope every row of bottles is surrounding itself to join every row with the following one. This step we it will repeat every two bottles of the row and the rope will pass for the zone of union between bottles to reinforce the same one and to support the as compact as possible structure.

In the low part of the wings of the greenhouse, fixed to the arches, we place a wire following the whole line of the same one, in which later each of the rows will be sticking of bottles.

In the end of each one of the rows of bottles, we knot a chunk of wire that will be the one that is in use for fixing every row on the wire.

This way, each of the rows of bottles will be getting hooked up by the wire, obtaining this way a fixation that allows, besides his union, to support the sufficient tension in the structure of the cover of the greenhouse.

As we have commented, the climatological conditions have prevented us from being employed with continuity at the greenhouse. This way, we join some rows of bottles inside the Adults' Center; but we have verified that it is more suitable to prepare the rows in the moment previous to join them, for question of the expansion of the same ones with the changes of temperature, for what we prefer waiting for the moments that the climatology it allows to be working at the exterior, though it supposes delaying the construction.

As the rows are added, it is continued joining the same ones with the rope as it explained previously.

To help to spend the thread across the bottles, we have used a wire to facilitate his step. They are these small details that seem to be insignificant, but that at last make the labor much simpler and rapid.

The process has been the same during the whole placement of the cover and we have used some of the blue bottles gathered to give him a decorative touch to the greenhouse.

The work of placement of the coverage of the greenhouse we have been combining it with the preparation of the soil of the same one, which already we will detail in a following paragraph, but we leave here some images to show the good environment of participation and collaboration in the joint work realized by our pupils and for that always we have possessed the collaboration and support of the personal of the Penitentiary Center.

Fase 7: Colocación de las hileras de botellas para construir el techo del invernadero.

Tras ir presentando y colocando las primeras filas de botellas de la cobertura del invernadero, que ya explicamos en el apartado anterior cómo se iban entrelazando, se van ajustando y tensando con la cuerda interior para que adquieran la estructura adecuada y ajusten perfectamente unas con otras.

Sujetamos la primera fila de botellas al arco frontal del invernadero con cuerda de construcción, que es la que utilizaremos para todo el trabajo, tanto en el interior de las botellas, como en las uniones a la estructura y entre ellas.

A continuación, con la cuerda se va rodeando cada fila de botellas para unir cada hilera con la siguiente. Este paso lo repetiremos cada dos botellas de la fila y se pasará la cuerda por la zona de unión entre botellas para reforzar la misma y mantener la estructura lo más compacta posible.

En la parte inferior de los laterales del invernadero, fijado a los arcos,  colocamos un alambre siguiendo toda la línea del mismo, en el que posteriormente se irán atando cada una de las hileras de botellas.

En el final de cada una de las hileras de botellas, anudamos un trozo de alambre que será el que se utilice para fijar cada fila en el alambre.

Así, cada una de las hileras de botellas se irá enganchando al alambre, obteniendo así una fijación inferior que permita, además de su unión, mantener la suficiente tensión en la estructura de la cubierta del invernadero.

Como ya hemos comentado, las condiciones climatológicas nos han impedido trabajar con continuidad en el invernadero. Así, unimos algunas filas de botellas en el interior del Centro de Adultos; pero hemos comprobado que es más adecuado preparar las filas en el momento previo a unirlas, por cuestión de la dilatación de las mismas con los cambios de temperatura, por lo que preferimos esperar los ratos que la climatología lo permite para trabajar en el exterior, aunque suponga retrasar la construcción.

Según se van añadiendo las hileras, se continúa uniendo las mismas con la cuerda tal y como se explicó anteriormente.

Para ayudar a pasar el hilo a través de las botellas, hemos utilizado un alambre para facilitar su paso. Son de estos pequeños detalles que parecen insignificantes, pero que a la postre hacen mucho más sencilla y rápida la labor.

El proceso ha sido el mismo durante toda la colocación de la cubierta y hemos utilizado algunas de las botellas azules recogidas para darle un toque decorativo al invernadero.

El trabajo de colocación de la cobertura del invernadero lo hemos ido combinando con la preparación del suelo del mismo, que ya detallaremos en un apartado siguiente, pero dejamos aquí algunas imágenes para mostrar el buen ambiente de participación y colaboración en el trabajo conjunto realizado por nuestros alumnos y para el que siempre hemos contado con la colaboración y apoyo del personal del Centro Penitenciario.
